Latest Details on the Shuwayfat Building Collapse Incident

The Civil Defense Directorate reported via its account on the "X" platform: "The Director General of Civil Defense, Brigadier Raymond Khattar, supervised the ongoing search, rescue, and comprehensive field survey operations, with close monitoring from the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Judge Bassam Mawlawi, to extract the injured from beneath the rubble of the collapsed building in the Shuwayfat area, who are of Syrian nationality. So far, the teams, in collaboration with other rescue agencies, have managed to rescue four individuals from a family of five, consisting of the father, mother, and two children, while the body of the fifth individual, a small child, was recovered from under the debris. The four survivors were transported to nearby hospitals for necessary treatment, and the teams are currently continuing their efforts to locate three missing persons identified to be beneath the rubble of the third floor. The teams have also worked to evacuate the nearby residential buildings to ensure the safety of the residents."
