Kurdistan Government: Cooperation Between Erbil and Baghdad is the Best Way to Develop Iraq and the Region

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani stated that mutual cooperation between Erbil and Baghdad is the best way to develop Iraq and the region. Barzani made this statement during the ground-breaking ceremony for the establishment of the Aluka and Sarhaldan parks in Duhok, with a total cost of 131 billion, 898 million, and 515 thousand dinars. He noted that his visit to Baghdad last week, which included meetings with the Prime Minister of the federal government, other government officials, and leaders and members of Iraqi political parties and forces, specifically discussed permanent solutions to the issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government. He expressed regret over the continued negotiations between both sides regarding salary issues, affirming that these rights are natural and deserved, and should not be a subject of debate. Barzani emphasized the importance of joint cooperation to develop Iraq as a whole, making it a country that competes with Gulf nations and the world. He highlighted the country's vast wealth of natural and human resources, stating that what is lacking is good governance to achieve progress and prosperity.
