The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced in a statement that "as part of the ongoing continuous monitoring carried out by the specialized units in the Internal Security Forces to pursue wanted individuals in various Lebanese areas, especially those considered dangerous, and to identify their locations for arrest."
It added: "As a result of the intelligence and field efforts undertaken by the Information Branch, they managed to identify the location of one of the wanted individuals in the Saraya Al-Ateeka neighborhood - Tripoli, named F. F. (born in 1997, Lebanese). He has two arrest warrants for attempted murder, one arrest warrant for drug trafficking, and a summary judgment for weapons possession, and he is wanted for gunfire in the Qobbeh area."
Orders were given to monitor him in preparation for his arrest, in coordination with the judiciary. The statement concluded: "On March 31, 2024, after careful surveillance, the Branch's patrols successfully executed a well-planned ambush in the Saraya Al-Ateeka area, which resulted in his arrest, and his mobile phone was seized. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was handed over to the relevant authority, based on instructions from the competent judiciary."
