Scientists from the Institute of Applied Geophysics in Moscow observed a powerful solar flare this morning, Friday. The TASS news agency reported, citing a report from the institute, that at 02:16 AM Moscow time, a strong solar flare of level (M5.8) was observed, lasting 20 minutes in sunspot area number 3719. The astronomy laboratory of the Russian Academy of Sciences had previously predicted strong solar flares due to the formation of a new active center on the sun, numbered 3713, near the large area 3712.
