Bahrain Explores Future Relations with the Arab League

Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani met with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, who is currently visiting Bahrain. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation and joint coordination between Bahrain and the General Secretariat of the Arab League in various fields, as well as the preparations for Bahrain's hosting of the 33rd Arab League Summit. They also addressed the efforts being made by the General Secretariat to enhance areas of Arab joint cooperation and elevate them to broader horizons that protect the interests of Arab countries and fulfill the aspirations of their people for security, stability, and prosperity. The two sides also discussed developments in regional and international situations and their implications for security and stability in the region, the tragic situation in the Gaza Strip, and the efforts being made at all levels to stop the war in the area, provide protection for civilians, and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian and relief assistance to the civilian population.
