Title: First Lieutenant Policewoman Clashes with Colleague in Baghdad

After a video went viral on social media showcasing a rare altercation between security personnel, Iraqi authorities intervened. Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari ordered the punishment of a woman, a "First Lieutenant" in the police, and a colleague with the rank of Major, following a fight that occurred yesterday afternoon in the streets of Baghdad. The video captures the officer twisting the arm of his colleague, who was in civilian clothing, as she angrily exited her car, yelling and making threats.

A security source reported that the emergency patrols were investigating a traffic accident involving a vehicle driven by an Iraqi named Muhammad Abdul Hadi Arir and a car driven by First Lieutenant Jumana Imad Fadel, associated with the Ministry of Interior, Directorate of Communications and Information Systems. When trying to ascertain the cause of the accident, the woman was verbally abusive towards the emergency patrol teams and the investigative officer, Major Saif, according to "Baghdad Today."

The video shows a heated exchange between the woman, surrounded by a large group of Ministry of Interior personnel and officers while in her car, before the officer forcefully pushed the car door towards her as she attempted to exit to strike him, landing a slap to the back of his neck. She also assaulted another police officer who approached her trying to control the situation, slapping him after he reached out to her, repeating this action twice before the first officer twisted her arm and used force against her.

Throughout the incident, the voice of the individual recording described the events in a style reminiscent of sports commentators, showing bias against the officer, particularly accusing her of "attacking the state and labeling it as terrorists," although such language was not heard from her in the video. Additionally, the video rapidly spread across platforms, capturing the attention of the Iraqi public, with opinions divided between those sympathetic to the policewoman, arguing that her colleague had attempted to close the door on her foot which triggered her violent reaction, and those opposing her due to her shouting and threats against her colleagues.
