Russia Destroys Ukrainian Fighters at Mirgorod Airport

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Tuesday, that it "destroyed five Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jets and damaged two other aircraft at Mirgorod Airport in the Poltava region using Iskander-M missiles." The ministry released a video of the attack showing smoke and flames rising from the airport. The ministry stated: "As a result of the Russian attack, five operational Su-27 fighter jets were destroyed. Two were damaged." Russia is targeting Ukrainian airports as Kyiv prepares to receive American F-16 fighters, which Moscow vows to destroy.
