The Lebanon women's basketball team (under 18 years) won against its Syrian counterpart (20-0) on Monday afternoon after the Syrian team failed to participate in the Asia Championship for under 18 years (level B), which is being held in Shenzhen, China, until June 30. Lebanon will play its next match against the Philippines at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, June 25, Beirut time, and will conclude its first-round matches against the Maldives on Wednesday at 2 PM Beirut time. The participating countries in the continental tournament are divided into two groups as follows:
- **Group A:** Samoa, Iran, Hong Kong, and Kyrgyzstan.
- **Group B:** Philippines, Lebanon, and Maldives (Syria's withdrawal from the tournament).
It is noted that the team that wins the championship qualifies for the first level in this age category in the Asian continent.
