Spain: Allocating 60 Million Euros to Support Palestine in 2024

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced the allocation of "60 million euros to support Palestine during 2024" in a speech at the "Emergency Humanitarian Response in Gaza" conference held in Jordan. He emphasized that "the law must prevail, and thus we have joined South Africa in the lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice," explaining that "support for UNRWA must be increased." Sánchez mentioned that "humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip should be increased and access for those in need must be ensured," as the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip continues since October 7 and the blockade on the area remains in place.
