After the widespread popularity of Padel in various regions in Lebanon and the steady increase in its practitioners, it was indeed necessary to take a progressive step to keep up with the flourishing of the sport. Yesterday, the first league for Padel in Lebanon was announced. The launch event, attended by a large number of sports figures, players, and media, revealed the start date of the league, which will take place on the 25th of this month, featuring 12 clubs.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in the development of Padel in Lebanon. The sport has captured the interest of a substantial segment of athletes due to its dynamic gameplay and accessibility. With the establishment of this championship, the Padel community in Lebanon now has a platform to showcase their skills, compete at the highest level, and inspire the next generation of players.
Unprecedented financial prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, along with a training camp in Spain for the championship-winning team. This unique step will encourage a large portion of the players to commit to reaching a professional level. The league matches will be held weekly in different areas, given the participation of clubs from all over Lebanon, to spread the excitement of the sport throughout the country.
