A local official in Ukraine announced on Monday that a Russian missile attack on the Poltava region in east-central Ukraine caused damage to several residential buildings and resulted in at least nine injuries. Philip Bryun, the governor of the region, stated in a video message from the attack site on Telegram that the attack had not caused any fatalities according to initial information. Smoke was seen rising from damaged parking areas in the background of the video while firefighting teams were attempting to extinguish fires. Earlier on Monday, the Ukrainian Air Force issued a warning about a missile threat to the region.
