The Premier League Football Association announced today, Saturday, that Phil Foden (23 years old), a player for Manchester City, has won the title of Player of the Season for the current term, after having the best season of his career. Foden scored 17 goals and provided 8 assists in 34 matches during the season, as his team approaches winning the title for the fourth consecutive time before the final round of the season. This marks the fifth consecutive time a player from Manchester City has won the Player of the Season award, following Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne (twice), and Ruben Dias. Foden will play the final match of the league with his team, Manchester City, tomorrow, Sunday, where the title will be secured for the fourth consecutive time if they win against West Ham.
