U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that the long-awaited ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is emerging, adding that negotiators are "moving toward the final goal." Blinken stated at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado, "There are still some issues that need to be resolved and negotiated. We are in the midst of doing just that."
In relation to his meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Blinken noted that he will meet with him next week during a ministerial meeting in Laos. He said, "I speak with him regularly and will meet him next week in Laos," praising the dialogue with Beijing.
