The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed members of the small ministerial council about "progress in the negotiations for the exchange deal." Netanyahu had previously stated that he is "not willing to give up on victory over Hamas under any circumstances. If we concede, we will be at risk from the entire Iranian axis of evil."
