Iran Announces Visa Waiver for 32 Countries including Saudi Arabia

Iran's Minister of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, Ezzatollah Zarghami, announced that the Iranian government has approved a proposal to unilaterally cancel visas for 32 countries. In a statement made during a session of the Iranian government, he considered that "this unilateral visa cancellation is, in fact, a message to the peoples of the world, as Iran has shown that it is ready to open its doors to the world and provide more facilities for them to visit Iran easily and enjoy its advantages, thus countering negative announcements and rumors and suppressing the phenomenon of Iranophobia perpetrated by the global arrogance system."

Zarghami explained that "the countries for which the Cabinet has approved unilateral cancellation of entry visas for their citizens include India, Russia (in groups), the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Mauritania, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Seychelles, Indonesia, as well as Brunei, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brazil, Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, and Belarus."
