A group of 28 premature babies was evacuated from a hospital in the Gaza Strip to Egypt today, Monday, for treatment, according to live footage broadcast by the Egyptian Al-Qahera News channel and a Palestinian doctor. Medical staff were seen carefully lifting the small children from an ambulance, placing them in incubators, and then pushing them across a parking area towards other ambulances. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent and the channel, more than twenty children are expected to cross. The premature infants were at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, where many have died amid a collapse of medical services due to power outages resulting from fuel shortages. Live footage broadcast by Al-Qahera News showed medical personnel carefully lifting the small children from an ambulance, placing them in incubators, and pushing them across a parking area towards other ambulances. The children were transferred yesterday, Sunday, to a hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza, to stabilize their condition before being transported to Egypt.
