French President Emmanuel Macron stated today that "the decision of U.S. President Joe Biden not to run for re-election demonstrates courage and a sense of duty." Macron wrote in a message addressed to Biden: "I look with appreciation at the courage, sense of responsibility, and sense of duty that led you to make this decision."
