The Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Agency announced today, Sunday, that it has, for the first time, struck a Sukhoi "Su-57," the latest generation of Russian fighter jets, at an airbase inside Russia. It presented satellite images it claims confirm the strike. The agency did not specify in a Telegram post how the Russian aircraft was targeted or which unit of the Ukrainian army executed the strike. A well-known pro-war Russian military blogger, known as Fighter Bomber and focused on aerial operations, confirmed the report about the fighter jet being targeted and stated that it was hit by a drone strike. The defense intelligence noted that the aircraft was parked at an airport 589 kilometers away from the frontlines in Ukraine, between Ukrainian and Russian forces.
