The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that "the deal is good and should be approved; this is an opportunity to return the hostages."
On Saturday, a delegation from Hamas and Qatari and American officials arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to participate in negotiations for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange.
According to the broadcasting authority, Gallant informed Netanyahu that he is not speaking publicly to avoid increasing the cost of the deal and that it should be approved.
Meanwhile, Israeli war council minister Benny Gantz stated that the return of the captives "requires us to overcome the anger regarding the release of the killers."
