Iran's acting Foreign Minister, Ali Baqeri, announced that "we will discuss ending the war in the Gaza Strip and delivering aid," pointing out that "the main factor for instability in the region is the Israeli occupation and aggression." In a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart, Faisal Mekdad, Baqeri confirmed, "We stand by Syria in combating terrorism and achieving further stability and development." He stated, "We are cooperating with Syria on several regional issues." Baqeri mentioned that he is discussing in Damascus the end of the crimes committed by the Zionist entity in Rafah and the urgent delivery of aid. For his part, Mekdad revealed that "Turkey has promised to withdraw from Syrian territory several times but has backtracked on that." On Tuesday, the Iranian acting Foreign Minister, Ali Baqeri, met with leaders of Palestinian resistance factions in Syria. Baqeri left Beirut on Tuesday morning, heading to the Syrian capital, Damascus, to continue his regional tour.
