Israeli Strikes Target Hezbollah Warehouses Near Damascus - Video

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Israeli strikes targeted the area around Yabroud in the Damascus countryside. The Syrian General Authority for Radio and Television stated early this Tuesday that the Israeli army conducted air raids targeting several military points in the Damascus countryside. A military source informed the Authority that "around 02:10 this morning, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting several military points in the Damascus countryside."

The source added that "our air defense systems confronted the aggression's missiles and shot down some of them, with damages limited to material losses." The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights noted that these Israeli airstrikes, considered the second in 48 hours, targeted Hezbollah weapon warehouses and some Iranian-affiliated militias. It also stated that fires broke out at the targeted sites, with the sound of explosions heard and information about casualties.

In a statement to Al-Arabiya/Al-Hadath, it confirmed that the targeted warehouse was completely destroyed, mentioning that air defenses failed to intercept the Israeli missiles. Additionally, it was noted that such precise strikes would not have occurred without informants on the ground, alongside advanced technologies.

Earlier, a correspondent for Sputnik Agency reported hearing several explosions of unknown origin in the sky over the Syrian capital, Damascus. Last week, the United Nations Commission of Inquiry on Syria announced that Israel had struck sites and forces allegedly linked to Iran at least 35 times since the beginning of Israeli military operations in Gaza in early October. The committee stated that Israel had carried out at least 35 strikes on sites and forces claimed to be linked to Iran, as well as targeting the Aleppo and Damascus airports, temporarily halting essential humanitarian and vital United Nations air services.
