Former U.S. President Barack Obama acknowledged on Friday that Democratic President Joe Biden performed "poorly" in a debate against Republican rival Donald Trump the previous night; however, he confirmed his ongoing support for Biden. Obama stated on X: "Poor debate performances happen. Trust me, I know." He wrote, "But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary people his entire life and someone who only cares about himself," adding, "last night did not change that."
