Pope Francis: To End Violence in Israel

Pope Francis called for an end to attacks and violence in Israel today, stating that "terrorism and war will not solve any problems but will bring more suffering and death to the innocent." The Pope of the Vatican said in his weekly sermon in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican, "War is a defeat, simply a defeat. I am following with concern and sadness what is happening in Israel. I express my solidarity with the victims' relatives and pray for those who are suffering from fear and distress for hours." He added, "Please, let the attacks and weapons stop. Let us pray for peace in Israel and Palestine."
