The number of Democratic members of the U.S. Congress who have publicly called on President Joe Biden to end his re-election bid has reached 35. This pressure began following Biden's (81 years old) shaky performance during a debate against his Republican rival Donald Trump last month. This represents more than one in eight Democrats in Congress, where the Democratic Party holds 213 seats in the House of Representatives and 51 in the Senate.
