Informed sources revealed that the U.S. side has postponed the official announcement regarding a future schedule for reducing its forces in Iraq, which was set for this week. According to the sources, the U.S. reconsidered its decision to announce troop reductions during internal discussions before meeting with the Iraqi side within the framework of the Iraqi-American bilateral committee. The sources suggested that "there is a link between the decision to postpone the announcement of the reduction in Iraq, as the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Niger took precedence," noting that the U.S. military completed the withdrawal of all its soldiers from "Air Base 101" in Niamey yesterday.
