Severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in Switzerland, France, Germany, and Italy on Saturday have claimed the lives of at least seven people, according to updated figures from local authorities. Three elderly individuals died on Saturday evening when a tree fell on the car they were traveling in, in northeastern France, due to the storms and strong winds, police authorities reported. The police stated that the elderly victims were in their seventies and eighties, similar to a fourth passenger who remains in critical condition, noting that the incident "occurred due to high winds between 7 PM and 8 PM."
