A government official reported that four members of a family were injured in an explosion of a gas cylinder in Diyala. Zaid Ibrahim, the mayor of the Muqdadiya District (40 km northeast of Baqubah), stated to "Baghdad Today" that a small portable gas cylinder exploded while being used in a residential home in eastern Muqdadiya, resulting in injuries with varying degrees of burns for the four family members. He added that "the injuries are not a cause for concern, and they are currently receiving treatment in the wards of Muqdadiya General Hospital."
