The General Directorate of State Security stated that "after receiving information about an assault on a judge by an unknown individual in the Salim Salam area, and following investigation and monitoring, the directorate was able to identify the assailant, a Lebanese man named (A. H.). He was arrested and questioned, during which he confessed to the allegations against him. He has been referred to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings."
