A horrific murder has shaken the Abu Shakir area in Tariq El Jdideh, Beirut, where a young man named Ziad Al-Masri was attacked with knives following an altercation with a group of young men from the Alsousah family. Due to the severe wounds he sustained, Al-Masri succumbed to his injuries. The deceased, Ziad Al-Masri, was married, had a son, and was around thirty years old. He worked as a guard at the Municipality of Beirut.

Ziad's brother, Muhannad Al-Masri, was also injured during the incident, sustaining severe injuries, and his condition has been described as critical. He was transported to the hospital for necessary treatment and is under medical supervision.

Following the incident, security forces acted swiftly to investigate the crime, managing to arrest several suspects for questioning in order to clarify the circumstances of the incident and the motives behind it.
