American-British actor Chance Perdomo, known for his roles in the series "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina," "Gen V," and the "After" films, has passed away at the age of 27 due to a motorcycle accident. No other individuals were reported to have died in the incident, and details regarding the location or circumstances of the accident have not yet been disclosed. A statement provided to PEOPLE magazine on behalf of Perdomo's family and representatives stated: "Everyone who knew him felt his passion for the arts and his insatiable appetite for life, and his warmth will continue in those he loved. We ask that you respect the family's wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother."
Chance Perdomo was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Southampton, England. After graduating high school, he studied law but changed his path to the arts, beginning his acting career at the National Youth Theatre in London. He started his television career in 2017 with a role in the CBBC series "Hetty Feather." He starred as Ambrose Spellman in "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" from 2018 to 2020, and played Landon Gibson in the three films: "After We Fell," "After Ever Happy," and "After Everything." He also starred in the independent film "Bad Man," inspired by a true story, which wrapped production in February.
He was nominated for Best Actor at the 2019 BAFTA TV Awards for his role in the BBC Three drama "Killed by My Debt." Perdomo was also gaining recognition for his latest role in the action-comedy series "Gen V," part of "The Boys" franchise. However, due to Perdomo's passing, the second season of the show will be delayed. In a statement to PEOPLE, the producers said: "We cannot turn from this completely; for those who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, with an incredibly enthusiastic natural talent and was an incredibly gifted performer, but more than anything else, just a very nice and beautiful person." The statement concluded: "We are so sorry for Chance's family and feel the sorrow of losing our friend and colleague."
