The public prosecutor in Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, wrote on the platform "X": "Hello, people of my country. In light of all the media immorality, especially last night, and in response to one of the lawyers, no matter how much defamation I face, I assure you that I will not commit the crime of neglecting the truth. I am obligated, according to my oath, to look into every claim presented to me. If I wanted to take the easy way out, I would have filed a lawsuit against a bank every day, as the crime would be established simply by failing to pay. My efforts to bridge the views between every depositor and the accused bank are aimed at avoiding litigation, and you can ask some banks that have minimally responded. It is regrettable that some people's greed for money knows no bounds, even at the expense of integrity and commitment to the ethical principles of every profession."
