"UAE Warriors" Golden Edition Launches on May 18

The organizing committee for the "UAE Warriors" championship announced today, Friday, the details of the 50th "golden" edition of the event, set to kick off on May 18 with the participation of elite mixed martial arts fighters. The committee stated in a statement that, for the first time, it has decided to integrate Arab and African fights into joint competitions featuring all fighters, in celebration of this edition.

Key matchups will include a flyweight clash between Yamato Fujita from Japan and Iago Ribeiro from Brazil, a middleweight competition between Shakban Khasuf from Russia and Tahir Abdullayev from Azerbaijan, and a featherweight encounter between Ali Al-Qaisi from Jordan and Samuel Park from Sweden.

Prominent participants also include fighters Rani Saada from Palestine, Hussein Salem from Iraq, Abdullah Al-Bushahri from Kuwait, Ali Yazbek from Lebanon, Mahmoud Atef from Egypt, as well as Jauris Dia from Cameroon, Cedric Doyle from South Africa, and Babacar Niane from Senegal.

Fouad Darwish, chairman of the organizing committee and CEO of Palms Sports, confirmed that the 50th edition of this significant event will be exceptional in the tournament's history, which has seen continuous progress from one edition to another. He mentioned that since the first edition, the organizing committee has been dedicated to providing the best sporting experience for participants and the audience of mixed martial arts, and with the support of His Excellency Abdul Manam Al Hashimi, President of the UAE and Asian Jiu-Jitsu Federations and First Vice President of the International Federation, they have reached their current stature and succeeded in attracting elite fighters.

He added that the upcoming edition of "UAE Warriors" features diversity and brings together top fighters from different cultures from around the world, reflecting the spirit of tolerance and coexistence in the UAE.
