European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated today, Saturday, that "more than 20 European companies have signed agreements or memoranda of understanding worth over 40 billion euros (42.85 billion dollars) in Egypt during the Egyptian-European investment conference." The Egyptian-European investment conference commenced with wide participation from representatives of the Egyptian government, the European Union, multilateral institutions, and the private sector from both sides. The highly significant event will take place over two days, on June 29 and 30, under the title "Unleashing Egypt's Potential in a Rapidly Changing World."
