Security Company: The Laqsh Vessel Was Hit by 5 Missiles Fired from Yemen

The security company of the vessel "Laqsh" stated in a press interview today, Wednesday, that the dry bulk cargo ship flying the Marshall Islands flag was hit by five missiles fired from Yemen, but it managed to sail to its destination and the crew is safe. The spokesperson for the security company said: "The ship sustained damage, but it did not take on water, did not lean to either side, and there are no injuries on board... everyone on board is fine." The spokesperson noted that the security company was responsible for evacuating the crew of the Rubymar vessel, which sank after being hit by a Houthi missile earlier this year. The Laqsh has a crew of 23, consisting of Ukrainians, Filipinos, Egyptians, and a three-member security team. Shipping data showed that the last reported location of the ship on May 28 was heading to Imam Khomeini Port in Iran. The vessel, which was carrying a grain cargo, was attacked yesterday, Tuesday, off the coast of the Yemeni city of Al-Hudaydah. On Wednesday, the Iranian-backed Yemeni Houthis stated that they targeted six vessels, including Laqsh.
