The Communist Party announced, on the 41st anniversary of the Lebanese National Resistance Front (Jumoul), its commitment and loyalty "to the liberation path stained with the blood of martyrs, the suffering of prisoners, and the heroism of fighters." It emphasized "the continuation of the march to fully achieve its goals," stating, "Just as we liberated the land from the Zionist occupation, we will liberate Lebanon from its corrupt authority and sectarian system."
It added: "We will continue to stand against a new sectarian power-sharing settlement being 'cooked' abroad by the guardians of the domestic agents of the corrupt sectarian authority that has impoverished the Lebanese and displaced them, and is on the verge of undermining Lebanon's existence and destiny. We will continue with a Lebanese national resistance as a national and social liberation act to change the system, not to operate under the ceiling of this system with its capitalism, dependency, and sectarianism. It is a system that generates all colors and forms of crises and disasters that our people suffer from. This is the Lebanese national resistance that carries a clear political project to save Lebanon from the ongoing dangers and crises from all directions."
