The Sevier County Sheriff's Office stated in a release that "approximately 50 children experienced a lightning shock, resulting in seven being taken to the hospital for medical reasons." It was also mentioned that two of the children exhibited "some symptoms" and were airlifted to the Primary Children's Hospital in Lehi. It is noted that none of the children sent to the hospital suffered life-threatening injuries. Reports indicate that the remaining children were safely returned home.
