The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) reported that no aid discharged from the floating dock constructed by the United States off the coast of Gaza has been delivered to a wide range of Palestinian residents. A few days ago, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that over 569 metric tons of humanitarian aid had been delivered to Gaza via the temporary dock so far. Many residents of Gaza intercepted trucks transporting aid from the dock over the weekend, prompting the United Nations to suspend delivery operations until logistical challenges can be resolved. U.S. Pentagon spokesperson Pat Ryder stated on Tuesday that the U.S. is working with Israel and the United Nations to establish "alternative routes" for the safe delivery of the 569 tons of aid that has been transferred to Gaza since last week.
