The Lebanese Taekwondo Federation organized a two-day refinement and preparation course for coaches of various levels at the "Emile Lahoud Sports Complex - Mar Roukoz," attended by Federation member Grandmaster Joe Khoury, representing Federation President Dr. Habib Zreife, and Grandmaster Sun Ho Park, representative of the Kukkiwon office in Lebanon. The event also saw participation from Grandmasters Antoine Saad, George Khattar, and committee heads Grandmaster Eli Sherro, Grandmaster Fadi Nablusi, Grandmaster Michel Majdalani, along with members of the Coaches Committee led by Grandmaster Alan Najm, Grandmaster Nasr Eyon, Grandmaster Eli Najm, Master Abed Amshi, Master Michel Saad, Master Nahra Ghossein, Master Ali Alhaj, Master Tarek Abu Omar, and the instructors.
Eighty-one coaches participated in the course, which commenced with the Lebanese national anthem. Grandmaster Najm delivered a welcoming speech outlining the course's objectives and also welcomed Grandmaster Sun Ho Park, who conducted lectures on poomsae (hyung), explaining modern training methodologies. This was followed by a speech from the Federation President’s representative, Grandmaster Khoury, regarding the positive impact of conducting the course.
The course included the following lectures:
- A lecture by Grandmaster Michel Majdalani on the rules of free sparring refereeing for black belts and colored belts.
- A lecture by Grandmaster Fadi Nablusi, head of the breaking and demonstration committee, on breaking techniques.
- A lecture by Grandmaster Eli Sherro on the rules for judging poomsae competitions.
- A lecture by Grandmaster Sun Park on revising and training poomsae, alongside special training methods for poomsae.
- A lecture by Master Abed Amshi on agreed-upon sparring.
- A lecture by Michel Saad on self-defense techniques.
- A lecture by former Red Cross paramedic (Secretary of the Red Cross - Furn El Chebbak) Kamil Ghanem on first aid.
- A lecture by Grandmaster Eli Sherro regarding the revision and training for poomsae.
The course concluded with a written and practical examination.
