The Dakahlia Governorate in northern Egypt announced today, Tuesday, the collapse of an old building in the city of Mit Ghamr, with eyewitnesses confirming casualties and injuries. The governorate revealed that "the collapsed building is located on Nabi Daniel Street and consists of 5 floors." It added that "the collapse occurred as a result of a collision with one of the cranes used for transporting household furniture, which was being used by one of the residents to move their belongings." Authorities have dispatched ambulances to transport the deceased and injured to the hospital for treatment, as well as civil protection vehicles and rescue teams to search for survivors under the rubble.
