The head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, announced today, Tuesday, that Iran will respond if a resolution is issued against it by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), "and we have informed them of this." He pointed out that "Iran is in the process of reducing its nuclear commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action," stating: "We are lowering our commitments stipulated in the nuclear agreement as long as the other parties do not adhere."
London, Paris, and Berlin submitted a draft resolution to the IAEA Board of Governors on Monday evening that condemns Iran for not cooperating with the agency, despite opposition from the United States, according to two diplomats. In justifying this move, London, Paris, and Berlin referred to "the urgent need to respond to the seriousness of the situation." The Director General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, stated on Monday that "Iran must show more transparency regarding its nuclear program."
