The EU's foreign policy representative, Josep Borrell, said today, Monday, that "the situation in Gaza is very dire; the last few days have been bloody, and UNRWA has been prevented from providing humanitarian aid." Borrell stated, "The entry of aid into Gaza has become nearly impossible." He also pointed out, "There is a great risk every day of the Gaza war expanding to Lebanon," adding, "We are on the brink of a widening war in the Middle East."
