The Lebanon women's national basketball team (under 18 years) crushed the Maldives national team (102-21) on Wednesday afternoon in the third and final day of the preliminary round of the Asian Championship for under 18 (Level B) taking place in Shenzhen, China, until June 30. The quarter results were as follows: (17-5) (41-11) (76-13) and (102-21). The winning team controlled the match entirely from start to finish. By the end of the preliminary round, Lebanon secured second place in its group behind the Philippines. This victory marked Lebanon's second win in the continental championship, having previously won against Syria and lost to the Philippines. Consequently, the Lebanese team advanced to the second round, where they will face Hong Kong on Friday, moving toward the semifinals, as Thursday is a rest day for all teams. It is noted that the team that wins the championship qualifies for Level A of this age group in the Asian continent.
