Lebanon has won its first medals at the Asian Taekwondo Championship organized by the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation under the patronage of the Commander of the Lebanese Army, General Joseph Aoun, and under the supervision of the Asian Federation, at the Nihad Nwfal Complex in Zouk Mikael. The athlete Karil Ibrahim earned a silver medal, while Edmond Hashim secured a bronze medal in the age category (12-14 years) for boys and girls on the fifth day of the championship, which features 39 participating countries. The Asian Championship continues on Thursday and Friday in the style of Kyoroogi, with Poomsae competitions taking place on Saturday and Para competitions on Sunday. The "Beirut Open" tournament will start on Monday, September 11, in its fifth edition at the same venue and will continue until Wednesday, the 13th.
