The Center for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Geophysics in Algeria reported this Saturday evening that a 4.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Guelma province. The center specified that the earthquake occurred around 18:28, approximately 11 km southwest of the municipality of Wadi Jumaa in the Hamadna district of Guelma. Following this earthquake, the civil protection services in Guelma province initiated assessments of damages in local neighborhoods and streets. Algerian media confirmed that no material or human losses were recorded as a result of the quake, except for four cases of fainting due to shock and one case of panic, which the services reported receiving notifications about. The civil protection services urged the residents of the province not to panic, considering that the recorded quake was moderate and falls within the framework of the region's moderate seismic activity.
