Fire on a Saudi Passenger Plane!

Today, a Saudi Airlines A330R aircraft experienced a fire in its main landing gear while landing at Peshawar Airport, resulting in the plane veering off the runway. According to a statement from Saudi Airlines, all passengers were safely evacuated via emergency slides, and no injuries were reported. The statement noted that the aircraft is currently undergoing technical evaluation by specialists.

The aircraft, registered as HZ-AQ28, was operating flight number SV792, which took off from the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to Peshawar in Pakistan.

A verified account named "Saudi Aviation" on the platform X mentioned that the A330 aircraft was involved in an incident in Pakistan. It clarified that during its descent into Peshawar International Airport, smoke was observed coming from one of the tires, prompting an immediate halt to the aircraft and notification to the relevant authorities. All guests and crew were evacuated safely using the evacuation slide. The aircraft is now undergoing technical assessment, including repairs, comprehensive inspections, and tests to ensure its safety.
