The leader of the Shiite National Movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, today called for the "expulsion" of the American ambassador to Iraq. Al-Sadr stated in a lengthy post on his page on the platform "X" that Israel is "a settler entity that has expelled the rightful owners and is eager to expand east and west, all with the support of the American administration in a brazen and unjust manner." He continued, "Therefore, I reiterate my demand to expel the American ambassador from Iraq and to close the embassy through the established diplomatic channels without any shedding of blood, so we can demonstrate our character and peacefulness in the face of their terrorism and impudence. This would be a greater harm to them and more effective in deterring them than using force, so they do not have an excuse to destabilize Iraq and its people." Al-Sadr also called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to take an active role in ending the massacres and violations against our people in Gaza by the Zionist enemy, adding, "Enough with the silence."
