The official spokesman for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Randeep Jaiswal, confirmed that the country is preparing for a new summit with Russia at the highest level. Jaiswal stated: "We are organizing a high-level summit with Russia, having held 21 similar summits so far, and we are also preparing for the upcoming summit. We will inform you of the date as soon as possible." Earlier, the Tribune reported, citing sources, that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make a one-day trip to Moscow on July 8. The newspaper noted: "The significance of this visit lies in the fact that it will take place following Modi assuming the leadership for a third term and after the re-election of Russian President Vladimir Putin for a fifth term in March."
