Russian Defense Shoots Down Drone Outside Moscow, Large Explosions Shake Luhansk

Russian media reported that large explosions shook the city of Luhansk, which is under Russian control. Meanwhile, Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov announced on Monday that Russian air defense units shot down a drone outside Moscow. Vorobyov added on Telegram that debris from the drone fell on a private house around 9 PM local time (6:00 PM GMT) in Balashikha, east of the Russian capital. Those inside the house escaped without injury. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that air defense units destroyed a "small flying object." The Russian news agency TASS reported that the civil aviation service announced a temporary rerouting of flights away from northeastern Moscow, but subsequent reports indicated that airports in the Moscow area were operating normally.
