Who is the new Police Chief of Kirkuk?

An informed source revealed the name proposed for the position of Police Chief of Kirkuk following the retirement of Major General Kawa Gharib. The source stated in an interview with "Baghdad Today" that "the most prominent candidate to take over the position of Police Chief of Kirkuk is Major General Shyrzad Al-Kafroushi, and his assignment to lead the police will be issued in the coming hours." The source added that "Major General Shyrzad has been transferred from the Ministry of Defense to the Ministry of Interior in preparation for his assignment to lead the police." Currently, the position of Police Chief of Kirkuk is being managed by Colonel Fattah Al-Khafaji in an acting capacity, who previously held the position of Deputy Police Chief.
