A security source reported today, Friday, that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, has dismissed a commander in the Iraqi Army from his position. The source told "Baghdad Today" that "Sudani issued an order to dismiss the commander of the 14th Division of the Iraqi Army, Major General Shukr Rawdan al-Naemi, from his post." It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Defense appointed General al-Naemi to the position of commander of the 14th Division on April 14, 2023, succeeding Major General Abdullah Ramadan al-Jubouri, who took over as the commander of Nineveh Operations.
